Apartment Rental Where to find unfurnished rentals without recibo de sueldo or garantía?

When we were looking recently, some places offered that we could buy garantía insurance since we're in a similar boat (foreign income, no local fam., no property). It's not cheap, and on top of the fee they'll hold like six months of rent until the end of your contract, but it might be an option.

I think you might be taking this a little too personal. No one doubts the customer service you received at Santander Rio was atrocious. But I don't think you were being "shamed" because you're an "immigrant" from the USA (or wherever). Customer service in Buenos Aires is terrible for everyone...

Apartment Rental Looking for an apartment

I have a question for Snowwhite: Are you making your payments in cash, through a US check, or have you exchanged to pesos? I recently secured an apartment, and I didn't have a garantia. It's important not to be misled by certain individuals. These days, many landlords prefer US dollars. If you...

Newcomer Cons to getting Argentine citizenship for Americans?

I never encountered this supposed problem. Voting was always straightforward. Argentines don't require a visa for Russia either. Turkey is also visa-free for Argentina. It is always good to two nationalities, you never know what will happen with this crazy World.
