The New York Times (NYT) is a daily newspaper based in New York City, with a worldwide reported readership of 9.41 million digital-only subscribers and 670,000 print subscribers as of 2023.The newspaper was founded in 1851 as the New-York Daily Times. It is published by The New York Times Company and has won 132 Pulitzer Prizes, the most of any newspaper, and has long been regarded as a national newspaper of record. For print, it is ranked 17th in the world by circulation and 3rd in the United States. The newspaper is headquartered at The New York Times Building near Times Square, Manhattan.
