Aerolineas Argentina is halting flights between New York City and Buenos Aires starting August 10, 2024

I didn't realize Aerolineas was losing so much money on this flight. I took it a few times and it was fairly full. Ticket prices between that route are probably going to go up now.

Aerolineas Argentina is the worst! I always try to avoid them. I usually fly American Airlines on that route but I agree prices will skyrocket. Award tickets have been difficult to get but then they started as I guess it slowed down with people going to BA. Now I am not sure how it will be if American is one of the only carriers to NYC.

Crazy that they were losing that much money on that route. Strange as the flight prices aren't even too cheap on that route. They are usually expensive. Probably money getting stolen. Privatizing makes sense.

I am amazed there aren't more flights between Buenos Aires and USA. I read there used to be more. It is always a pain flying from the West Coast to Buenos Aires. And expensive too!

There used to be far more flight options and flights to Buenos Aires. I loved it when American Airlines had a LAX direct to EZE. That was fabulous. But now all the airlines try to get people to fly from their gateway/hub cities. It's a long haul from the West Coast. I usually just fly American Airlines to DFW and then fly from there as I HATE Miami.

I have also flown LAX to EZE via Lima on LATAM and I found the service to be decent and prices reasonable.
