Any restaurants in Buenos Aires with Spicy food?
I consider myself a devoted enthusiast of intensely spicy foods. While I can handle the heat of jalapenos, my true passion lies in anything reaching the level of habanero heat or beyond. I've triumphed in many competitions of eating the spiciest Ghost Pepper contests in the United States, always opting for a spicier version if anything! I'm that Asian guy eating the spiciest foods in the restaurants without sweating.
Before my arrival in Buenos Aires earlier this year, I resided in Mexico City for 1 year, savoring the spicy food paradise it offered. My experience in Cali presented more of a challenge, but I managed to find a Buffalo Wild Wings-inspired establishment with flavorful mango habanero wings and an Indian restaurant allowing me to specify the heat level on a scale of 1 to 10.
However, since arriving in Buenos Aires, I've been facing a bit of spicy food withdrawal, chuckling about it. Even at "foreign food" establishments where I'd normally expect a spicy option, most dishes seem rather mild. I've explored Mexican spots like La Fabrica and Che Taco, Indian cuisine at Delhi Mahal, Thai delights at Green Curry, and Arab dishes at Rifi Comida Árabe, yet none fulfilled my craving. The Thai place did offer heat level options, but even the highest level tasted as if they merely added a dash of Tabasco sauce.
The spiciest encounter so far has been the Bloody Mary I enjoyed at Dada Bistró near Plaza San Martin (by the way, their shrimp risotto was fantastic).
