Anyone got any overstay "horror stories" ?

Same. One of the Australian friends I know is just here on a tourist visa and routinely overstays and pays the fine. That is what I did. I didn't have any problems but my friend that has done it multiple times said they flagged him at EZE when he was paying the overstay fee. Maybe they will get more strict about it. I'm not sure. I didn't have any problems.
Yep. Argentina doesn't seem to care at all about this which is great!

I posted a separate thread last month. I paid the overstay fee at EZE and didn't know if I'd have problems coming back in. I came back 2 weeks ago to EZE from Miami and had no issues at all even though I overstayed. Several friends have paid the overstay fee or doing border runs and not had problems.

My neighbor is a Russian and her cousin tried entering Argentina at 7 months pregnant and was rejected at EZE. Apparently, they are aware of many Russians try to have kids here. They are letting some in but turning away others.

Are Russians still getting turned away? My nephew said that there are many Russians with kids in Palermo all over.

It was mainly an issue with Russians very pregnant and obvious what they were doing. There were companies charging pregnant Russian women about ready to have kids. Most now come much earlier but I don't think they are turning away any Russians. The city is full of Russians now.

It doesn't sound like Argentina really cares at all about tourists overstaying. Probably better for them spending money in the country. I wonder at customs at the airport or ferry crossing if they can even see automatically if you have overstayed? Everyone I talk to says that they have been doing this for years. You would think that if people were having issues you would read all about it on blogs or message boards and that isn't happening.
