Best telos (sex hotels) in Buenos Aires?

I read the other thread that mentioned telos. I didn't know about these. Seems like a great idea. I was in BA for a month and didn't come across any. A few times I picked up a girl at a club but was hesitant on bringing her back to my Airbnb. These could have came in handy. Have any of you been to one? What is your favorite one? Are these places kids are mostly going that live at home? Or do married couples also go to them?

I'm coming to Buenos Aires for Christmas and I'll have to check it out. This blog says there are over 180 of these in Buenos Aires alone! That is nuts! It says 3 million visitors each year which is the population of central Buenos Aires.

These are very popular in CABA. Many kids live at home with their family and have no privacy so they frequent these telos. Or people that might be having an affair will go to these places with their lovers. I have never been to one but my girlfriends from the States come to visit me and I absolutely refuse to allow them to bring strangers into my apartment so I make them go to telos.

I posted this website before - https://www.iexplore.com/destinations/buenos-aires/telo-hotels

It also has some information on telos. I don't have any first hand knowledge about them but my friends said they were very clean. You can go by the turno (a few hours) or you can even spend the night if you pay more. My friends spend the night in them. Actually a few times.

What fear did you have with bringing them back to your Airbnb? I assume getting drugged? You have that same risk there don't you? I also never heard about these telos but I guess I wasn't looking at all either. Seem like a great invention. Shocked to hear the number of visitors each year. That doesn't seem like it can be correct.

Not so much worried about getting drugged as all my stuff stolen! I heard some horror stories about bringing people to your place and them stealing things once they were there. This would eliminate that. I went to a few clubs and asked for some girls numbers and I got a few Whatsapp but most IG. Lots of them seemed to be models but it turned out most seem to be escorts which isn't my thing. But that also might be a reason there are so many of these telos.

I posted this story before in an old thread but back when I used to own a very large property management company in Buenos Aires, we had a client (a gay male) that picked up stranger at a bar. He was renting a really high end apartment in Recoleta. It was the type of building where you needed a key to leave the building to exit the building for security. There was no doorman in the building.

Well, this guy got drugged in his apartment and when he woke up, the thief stole all of his things. His laptop, his 2 phones, all his money, and credit cards and even took his suitcase with most of his clothes. The worst thing is that he also took both sets of keys we gave him so he couldn't even leave the building. At that time we had 24/7 concierge and we offered to call the police and help him file a police report but he was too embarrassed and opted not to. Fortunately, the thief left his passport.

My office helped him replace all of his items. We warned him to be careful. The worst thing is about 2 weeks later he was robbed again the same way. This time they even took his guitar. This was a good candidate to use a telo. :ROFLMAO:

My girlfriend's brother goes to them all the time with his girlfriend(s). I have an extra bedroom in my Airbnb and I offered to let him just use my Airbnb while I'm out but my girlfriend doesn't let me. I have never been to one of these. I saw the photos of some of those rooms and they look insane.

I asked my novia if she wanted to check one out and the look on her face of disgust. She said that there are probably hundreds of people on that same bed each month. I still bet that some married people go to those places to spice things up. Not sure of the numbers. I saw that 3 million annual figure and shocked.

Never have been to one but lots of friends do frequent them. Some of my divorced friends that have kids staying with them part of the week. If you want to see just how many there are just go on Google Maps and put in Albergues Transitorios Buenos Aires.

You will see all of them pop up. Tons all over the city. Dont' feel bad @Digital Nomad I asked my wife before and I got the same reaction. My friends tell me they are very clean and change sheets and bedding and clean the bathrooms well between each guest. But many wives will have the same reaction. Many won't find the romance in it.

Most of you know I'm a gay male. I have gone to a few of them. Just beware on the weekends some of them can be very busy. You have to stand in the lobby sometimes and wait for the room to open up. Very awkward. I wonder if anyone bumps into someone they know. I have read stories about kids that go and see one of their parents with someone that is not their spouse! If you go make sure to check location.

The 3 main groups that I see going to these are younger kids that might still be living at home, people having affairs and cheating on their partners or quick hook up or flings that don't want to bring the hook up to their pads. This group might include sex workers.

A few times that I have went I saw what looked like swingers and there were multiple people together. I read that before only 2 people could go into a telo but they changed the law in 2018 so multiple partners can go in together.

Telos are very normal and common in Buenos Aires. Many of us that grew up here have all been to a telo at one time or another. There is no shame in going and very normal part of life here, especially when you have to live at home with family.

You can see all of them here. They are very clean and sanitary so that should not be a concern.

I met up with some girls from Buenos Aires here in Spain and they were joking about these. They were explaining them to me. Great idea although I would be mortified if I was in the lobby and ran into someone I knew.

Sounds like it could put some spice into a relationship. I would go to one of these if my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go.

Crazy crazy. I can't believe he got robbed a second time! What did you say to this fool? Did he call the police the 2nd time?

I have been to many of these telos. Just beware they haven't updated those prices on that Albergues site for years. It is ok to check out the names but prices have all changed. Just go on Google Maps and make sure to read the reviews. Some of these places are run down and not renovated. Some have a lot of smoke smell in the room if that bothers you. Also, you can sometimes hear what is going on next to you which you may or may not like.

Always a fun time.

This is a good breakdown of people that come here. Many people in CABA cheat on their partners. It is extremely common here. Just about every friend that I have has an affair. Both men and women. I have not seen it so common like I see here but it seems to be normal here. I even have some friends that have an open relationship. Or it starts out as an open relationship but then turns into swinging. I have never seen it like this and I have traveled to many Latin American countries.

Most Latin American countries the women are more jealous but I don't see that here for the most part. I think in general many Latin males cheat but I have never seen it where so many females do as well like here.

Maybe having all these telos contributes to the cheating. I am not sure but I know a lot of married female friends that also cheat. Talk about awkward moments. I went to a telo in Recoleta once and I was almost going in and I saw my friend's wife come out with another man. She didn't see me but I saw her. That was a strange moment.

I had to decide to tell my best friend. I told him and I was shocked he already knew and they had an open relationship. Does anyone know why open relationships here seem to be more common? I haven't figured out why.

I noticed this same trend here. I have dated girls in Brazil and they are extremely jealous! Same in other countries like Venezuela or Colombia but here females seem different. My male friends here are all single and most of them don't want to settle down or commit and have no interest in getting married or having kids.

I met a few married females that were down to cheat or have an affair. I don't know what it is here. Maybe with the bad economy people are just living for today or want some escape from their lives. I noticed the same thing here.

I did go to a Telo before. They are very clean and no issues at all.

It isn't just people having sex that go to these. It can be a good option if you have a flight that arrives very late at night and your hotel room or apartment rental isn't available yet for check-in. I have done that before. I doubt that many people do that but it's a good hack depending on arrival time of flight.

This sounds like a great idea! I'm going to use this option if I have a flight that gets in late at night. I just read that at some of these places you can check out 12 PM the next day.

These love motels are in Mexico. I haven't gone but I have driven past a lot of them. They look really big and seem to be geared towards people driving cars.

One thing I noticed here in Argentina is there are a ton of girls that seem to be escorting at least on the side. Probably because the economy is terrible but I have come across it many times where I will meet a normal girl but then find out she is doing escort on the side. I came across this funny X post the other day and it nailed it.

In other countries that I have traveled around to, if a girl is an escort she will just admit it. Here in BA it seems like they try to spin like they are some guru in something else but they are just an escort. I don't just anyone for doing anything they want to do but it can be frustrating dating and finding out after the fact the girl is an escort on the side.

Here in Argentina they pretend to be fitness models, influencers, business women, lawyers, life coach, health coach. It's hilarious.

Why not propose it to him? I think he’ll love the idea! I've been there several times with my wife, and I can assure you it's exactly as you described. It adds a bit of spice to the relationship. Plus, routine can kill everything, so it’s important to reinvent ourselves to avoid falling into the same patterns. Going every now and then helps rekindle the spark in a relationship, you won’t regret it! The first time I suggested it to her, she was surprised and hesitant, but she eventually agreed. Now, it's become our go-to date night!

I noticed this same thing. You can easily guess which are doing it too. I met a really nice girl at a restaurant and we went out on a few dates. I got her IG and she is taking trips all the time. In the US and Europe all the time. You can bet if she has tons of exotic photos of places and she is young and traveling around, odds are she is an escort.

I met two girls randomly both like this. One had a normal job. Surprisingly both of them were very well educated and seem to come from great families but probably nothing they can do and make as much money. It's sad.

Yes it is easy to spot it. Many of these girls also live in Puerto Madero. Sure tell sign. But don't feel too sorry for them. It seems like many are getting into Onlyfans. Some of these Onlyfans models are making a fortune. 48 hours and she made $1 million dollars.

I had no idea there were so many telos. With so many I guess prostitution must be legal in Argentina? It must be if there are so many of these places.

I think it is sad and shocking how many young girls are getting into Onlyfans. I read some statistic the other day that more revenue is generated for content creators on Onlyfans than the total of every single football player in the NFL. That is a shocking figure and most likely will only get worse. Times like this I am glad I only have a son!

Yes it is legal in Argentina. No one here really cares what you do but the only thing illegal is pimps. But a man or woman is free to do whatever they want here.
