Can a foreigner rent a long-term rental in pesos in Buenos Aires? Running into issues with everyone asking for co-signer that owns property

In what area are you looking to rent, how many bedrooms? Budget? Could you provide a source of income that they can verify? I know two people, both Argentine lawyers, who manage Airbnbs and long-term leases. I could inquire on your behalf.

We have checked out the various neighborhoods and we like Recoleta, Palermo Chico and parts of Belgrano the most. We are looking for a 3 bedroom. Or at least 2 bedrooms and an office as my husband works remote. Open to budget but I think that we found a place. The crazy owner before that kept wanting to change the rate has come back agreeing to the original price. We hope she doesn't change the terms before signing the contract.
