From February 9 to 13, Carnival celebrations will be held in different places of the province of Buenos Aires. More than 50 municipalities will participate in these festivities, which include murgas, parades and shows. Many will take advantage of the long weekend to enjoy these street celebrations full of music and joy.
More than 300 km from the city of Buenos Aires, this city is known for its celebrations on these dates, since it has been held there for about 130 years. Since 1994 it is the "National Capital of the Handmade Carnival", since they use the cartapesta technique since the early twentieth century to create large dolls with paper and paste that parade through the streets.
This year it takes place between Friday, February 9 and Tuesday, February 13 with live shows by Karu Cuarteto, Naiquén Galizio, Magui Olave, Tyago Griffo, Campedrinos and Damián Córodoba. In addition, there will be more than 10 canteens and 20 food trucks for attendees to taste the best flavors of the area.
This municipality is located in the north of the province of Buenos Aires and offers a great national tourist attraction for this celebration, with more than 500 people on stage. It was declared "City of Carnival" and hosts the election of the Cultural Ambassador of Carnival. It has an open-air corsódromo located on the Boulevard Valmarrosa of the Parque Laguna "Las Mulitas", where comparsas, batucadas and floats parade. Every year it hosts about 6000 spectators per day who enjoy the music and the show.
This year it takes place every Saturday of February (3, 10, 17 and 24). In addition, there will be celebrations throughout the long carnival weekend. In that sense, on Sunday, February 11, the District Carnival Festival will be held with the election of the sovereign and the live show of Los Balboa's; meanwhile, on February 25 will be the Provincial Carnival Festival with the election of the ambassador and ambassadress and the live show of Les Jinetes. It is important to remember that the parade of the motifs will not take place on those two days.
Located within the municipality of General Viamonte, this city in the province of Buenos Aires is considered the "Capital of Joy". Every year it summons thousands of people to its carnival celebrations, which are characterized by its corsos, comparsas, musical shows and live shows.
Admission is free and it takes place on February 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19, 2024. Within this framework, these are the artists who will perform:

Monday 12: Luca Sugo, La nueva era and DJ Tiziano.
The celebrations will feature the presentation of the Tsunami (which has more than 100 people including dancers, actors, costume designers and accompanists) and Bellas Alas. In addition, there will be a foam party and live music for dancing with bands such as Los Charros and La Copia.
Although the complete schedule of activities has not yet been officially announced, the event will be held at Azopardo and Espora, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, starting at 7:00 pm.
