Cleaning person recommendations

Would someone be able to recommend a cleaning person? We are on the border of palermo hollywood / chacarita. We are looking to have someone come twice a week to clean a 1/br apartment. Thank you in advance.
There is a saying. You can take my husband but do NOT take my maid. Good maids are hard to find in BA. They say the economy is bad but I have a difficult time finding a maid when mine is sick.

:ROFLMAO: My wife says that all the time about me. I agree it is difficult to find someone dependable. @s.kymon do you have a doorman in the building? If so, ask him/her and they likely know of someone. Or maybe a neighbor that already has one coming and may want to split part of the time. It is a good commodity these days.

Yes, we do have a doorman. The first cleaning person he recommended was great, but he was transferred to another building. The second recommendation is unreliable so we're looking outside now. We plan to ask around in the building but don't know anyone too well. Appreciate the feedback, though.

The doorman is always the best contact. You will get more duds than reliable. Our maid moved out of CABA last year and we have been struggling to find someone reliable. I am amazed when people say how bad unemployment is but it sure doesn't feel like it with not being able to find a dependable maid.

We had someone that was ok for a few months but she kept raising the salary drastically each month. We were giving cost of living increases but it was double of what inflation was. We increased it for the first month and then she started getting sloppy so we got rid of her. If you find someone dependable PM me!

Finding good maids has always been a struggle. I've been living and working in BA for 22 years and I formally owned the largest property management company in Argentina. We had a good process for hiring maids. Had to pay them great salaries (in white), I was paying healthcare benefits for them once they were working for me for a year. Fortunate to have had about 20 maids.

But now I just have a few properties and just use the maid from the property management company. But they tell me it's not easy to find maids.

I think this problem is going on all over the world. I'm here in San Diego and although I live in the Northern suburbs, we are not far from Mexico so you'd think there would be tons of maids available but after COVID it's been extremely tough to find maids. The cleaning companies are terrible and individual maids are difficult to find. We had a regular maid for many years then she flaked out during COVID and now we just use a few but they aren't too good and it's expensive.

In Mexico, my friends report having the same exact problem. I'm not sure what the issue is but in Guadalajara where I own several properties and have many friends, they are all saying they are having the same problem. Many that had dependable maids for years have had them flake out or stop working.

My parents are in the property management business so I sympathize.

It's the same here in Dallas. Even companies that you hire tell me that it's difficult to find people now. Probably many of these people are illegals so if Trump really does deport everyone this will be a big problem as white people don't like to clean people's toilets.

When I was in BA and in some Airbnb's the people did a terrible job. The one time I did get a good maid I got her WhatsApp to come back but she lived very far away. She would come in the city 2 times a week but she had another job outside of the city. I talked to a few others maids and it seems like all the maids in BA live far away and have to commute into BA.
