Don Julio now has $100 US steaks

I figured as much and didn't even consider going. Most US cities have at least a half dozen really good steak houses so it's crazy to pay US prices in Argentina. The ambience at Don Julio wasn't great either, we walked by every day and it always looked half empty (it was winter time, but the other places we visited were packed).
We walked by it a few times and it was busy but tables were really close to one another. It is kind of funny to see tourists lined up to pay for $100 dollar steaks in Argentina. We went to several places that had great steak and was really cheap.

I just went to Don Julio today. Actually you can see the peso price went down on several steak dishes. I got the Asado de Tira and it was 96,800 vs. 99,170 December 2023. I have been here over 100 times over 23 years. I never minded paying more here but I just think the quality has gone downhill. Here is my review.

We also came here to eat and it was very good but for the same price or less I could get as good of a steak in the USA. I laughed about the tomato because I was thinking the same thing. Even in California I don't think anyone could pass off a $20 dollar tomato! We went to Fervor in Recoleta and I thought the steak was much better there.
