Source:

1720712107062.png

When?
Saturday, July 13 from 12 to 18h – Free tour and admission to each space

Starting point
Santander Foundation

Free transportation from 12 to 6 p.m.

We present Abre La Boca, an opportunity to be amazed and discover the great offer of contemporary art institutions and galleries in the oldest and most picturesque neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires. We invite you to board a minibus in the best “tourist bus” style to tour some of the most emblematic spaces of the circuit for free and enjoy the exhibitions offered without paying the entrance fee.

Next Saturday, July 13th, at 12 noon, we will leave from the Santander Foundation and continue through the Larivière Foundation, Barro, Smol, MARCO Museum, Ungallery, Sendrós Gallery, Constitución, the Benito Quinquela Martín Museum, Proa Foundation, Andreani Foundation, PROA21 and Colón Fábrica, not necessarily in that order. The idea is that visitors can get on and off at any of the points shown on a map (see below), and that they have exclusive information about each exhibition, in order to appreciate the spaces without worrying about transportation. The van will circulate permanently, linking the ten spaces participating in this joint initiative along its route.

1720712421919.png
The tour includes ten stops:

1. Santander Foundation @fundación_santander_ar

2. Lariviere Foundation | Barro @fundacionlarriviere @barro_cc

Parallel Resonances: Art and Web3 Technology

Technological Rituals , the art and technology cycle dedicated to young people at ¡Vacaciones!, hasfive exhibition roomsentirely dedicated to exploring the scope of technology. With a multitude of activities, theseventh flooris offered as a laboratory for artistic experimentation, a place of access to knowledge, and a world in which young people can immerse themselves to travel in time and navigate in space.

Music W3 is presented in Room 703 , a community of artists that seeks to give opportunities to independent musicians through the universe of non-fungible tokens (NFT) and blockchain technology . By adopting these international dissemination tools, and outside of controlled algorithms, it promotes the creation of an alternative to the production, distribution and consumption system proposed by the hegemonic music industry.

By exhibiting some of the works created with this technology, the W3 collective seeks to bring information to the public that contributes to broadening the horizons of this collaborative network of Latin American musicians. In this way, both this room and the live sets that will take place at La Cúpula aim to expand and democratize access to art, information and the possibilities of development in the musical environment.

Children's Day at the Planetarium

1723835071984.png

Children's Day at the Planetarium!

We will present two free performances in the NOCTURNO, RECETARIO DE SUEÑOS EN CONCIERTO performance hall, a musical proposal performed live by members of the CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF THE CITY program under the starry dome of the Planetarium, decorated with visuals and illustrations by the renowned artist Isol and original music by the composer Pedro Onetto."

About Children's and Youth Orchestras

Dependent on the General Directorate of Open Schools of the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, this program aimed at children and young people from 6 years old aims to strengthen the student-family-school bond through music and promote collective experience through the orchestral model. It also proposes to educate sensitivity, facilitate a series of routines that promote mutual respect and other ways of seeing, looking at, perceiving the world and develop an “artistic sense” for enjoyment, sensitivity and understanding.

The orchestra model represents a novel and effective tool for educational inclusion. In addition to affirming the right to equal access to education and culture in contexts of socio-educational vulnerability, it is a project that aims to ensure that artistic quality is present in all neighborhoods of the city of Buenos Aires.

About Isol

Isol Misenta was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1972. Her specialty is storytelling through dialogue between images and texts (picture books). She has published 27 titles—with translations into 17 languages.

Isol's work has been recognized internationally with numerous awards, including those given by the Argentine Association of Children's and Young Adult Literature (ALIJA), the Banco del Libro de Caracas, the Golden Apple Award in 2003, and was a finalist for the Hans Christian Andersen Award from the International Organization for Young Adult Literature in 2006 and 2008. In 2013 she won the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA), one of the highest honors in world literature.

About the Buenos Aires Planetarium

This benchmark for astronomical literacy and dissemination is a meeting place between the scientific community and citizens; a tourist attraction for locals, Argentines and foreigners. But fundamentally it is a space for enjoyment for adults and children.

For 57 years, the beloved Galileo Galilei has been committed to offering multiple and renewed educational and recreational experiences, presenting a varied, innovative and attractive range of activities so that everyone can discover the wonders of the Universe. Its astronomical productions for children have received recognition and are presented in other Planetariums.

It is undoubtedly a unique place that all children deserve to visit to treasure this experience in their memories.
