How common is it to find jobs in Buenos Aires making Dollars?

I have been looking all year and it seems like it is impossible to find any decent jobs in BA for foreigners? I am fully bilingual and fluent in Spanish. I have a lot of experience and thought it would be easy for me to find a job if I was willing to make a local salary. I don't have residency but I thought that a company would sponsor me so I could work there. But it doesn't sound like this is normal there at all.

Really shocking as I thought there would be more opportunities job wise. Seems impossible to find a local job here. Is this really the case?

Forget about it. I went down last year and made the mistake of thinking it would be easy to find a decent job. You might get someone to hire you but don't expect to make any good salary. It sounds like salaries have doubled since I was there last year but even considering that it isn't much at all.

Companies don't want to hassle with hiring a foreigner. I think the paperwork must be expensive and time consuming. There was no interest at all.

Nope. Impossible to find. There are a lot of locals that studied in the USA and fluent. You are competing with them. Like anywhere it is networking but doesn't seem to be any interest here besides doing some kind of informal internship where they don't pay you. No thanks! I work remote and my employer is in the US but there is talk about making us come to the office a few times a week. I don't want to go back to the office but it is impossible to find work here. My girlfriend's father owns a company but he said he would prefer I not mix business life which I guess I can understand. Do not move here expecting to find a job.

Agree with the others. Do NOT move here expecting to make any decent money in a job here. Most of the expats I know are living off retirement savings or have rental income. Definitely not a place an expat should come expecting to find a job.
