Newcomer Looking for an Optical Store with English Speakers

Hello everyone! Yesterday my glasses broke, and I need to replace them as soon as possible since I use them a lot. Any recommendations for an optical store where they speak some English? My Spanish is very bad, though I'm trying to learn.

I’m sorry to hear that! Honestly, people here are really helpful, especially in tough situations like this. You could probably just walk into any optometrist, show them your broken glasses and they'll be glad to assist you. Having some basic phrases translated on your phone could also be a lifesaver. Don’t stress about finding someone who speaks English; you’ll be just fine!

Whatever you do, do NOT send any contacts here via courier service. A friend did and it got stopped at customs and they wanted 3X the cost of them.

Never ship anything here directly with a courier service. I hope Milei fixes the customs service. But it is still a nightmare. Just use Grabr or ask someone to bring things down when they come. Amazon started charging import taxes when you buy and people I know are getting items now without having to deal with customs. Door to door. But when you have someone ship something that is not the case.
