One Direction Singer, Liam Payne commits suicide at the Casa Sur Hotel in Palermo Hollywood

It's all so recent that there are multiple versions. Some say that the person claiming to be his manager in Argentina may have supplied him with the drugs, and it's also alleged that this man, known as Roger, was his partner. I suppose everything will come to light during the investigation. This man doesn't have a good reputation here, and it seems he's involved in shady business dealings.

So many different stories out there.

Sounds like he was forced to stay in Buenos Aires for a little bit longer as he had to do some visa paperwork.

Sounds like that delay cost him his life. They found so many drugs in his system. It's a good lesson that you never know what drugs someone puts in something you are taking. Stay safe out there.

What a joke, unless someone tied him down and forced him to take the drugs it's no one elses fault

And the friend who left hours before charged with "negligent homicide" for not taking care of his friend??? Imagine the ramifications of this. You go out to a bar with a friend who gets completely hammered. Meanwhile you worked all day and want to go home early and sleep while your friend decides to stay at the bar drinking. Later he steps outside and gets hit by a car and dies. You just committed Argentine negligent homicide 15 - 20 years in prison you go.

Agree this makes no sense at all. This entire thing is tragic but the guy was a drug addict. Besides maybe the people that sold him the drugs no one else is responsible for his actions. Holding the hotel accountable seems ridiculous and they will get off eventually. If he was not a celebrity you wouldn't have these people getting charged.

I heard this on ABC news in the USA yesterday. Wow. I can't believe 5 people got arrested. I can understand the ones that supplied him with the drugs but the hotel manager? Seems extreme. I guess after this no one in BA will offer drugs to tourists which is a nice change.

Yes but did the manager of the hotel know about it? Why is she getting charged in all of this mess? Or maybe the manager did know.
It is very normal here for hotels to assist tourists to get drugs. I remember my first trip to BA. I had some mates from London here that wanted to do drugs and they just asked the doormen in the hotel which is a very prominent hotel in Recoleta and like clockwork, the drugs showed up. It is likely that the hotel knew about it. Hotels and employees of hotels would routinely help tourists get drugs, prostitutes, you name it. But after this probably not so much.

Never did drugs but not surprised to hear this. My college roommate came to visit me and she uses medical marijuana for some joint pain and forgot to bring it. We were in an Uber and he heard us joking about it. He passed on a Whatsapp and within 25 minutes my friend was happily high. I would think after this hotel employees will be very hesitant to get drugs for anyone.

Agree. This is silly to charge some of the people that didn't have anything to do with his death. The ones that sold him the drugs ok but the rest? No responsibility of the others.

Are all of Argentina's laws so strange? I was reading X today and I read about an Uber motorcycle driver that got a ticket for transporting someone at a breathalyzer checkpoint. How in the world would the driver know about the passenger?? Some of these laws in Argentina sound nuts.
