Planning My November Trip to BA for Oasis Concert

Hey everyone,

Heading to BA for the Oasis gig in November and probably staying about a week. A few questions to help plan the trip:

  • Any hotels with cool, lively pools you'd recommend?
  • What's the best area to stay in, somewhere safe but with great spots for drinks, food, and dancing if we feel like it?
  • If we want a recovery pool day, will mid-November weather be good for that?
  • What are the absolute MUST-DOs in BA?
  • Thinking about a day trip to Colonial, worth it? What would you do with just a day there?
  • Are there any fun beach towns near BA we could visit if we wanted to extend the trip a bit?

We’re a group of 4, late 30s.

Thanks in advance!

Best area to stay? Definitely Palermo Soho or Hollywood. Super walkable, full of cute bars, restaurants, and places to dance if you want. Feels safe, even at night.

If you want beachy towns near BA, Mar del Plata is the classic choice, though it’s a few hours away. Pinamar or Cariló are smaller and more upscale, great for a few relaxing days. You can get there by micro (long-distance bus) or even by train, which is way cheaper than flying. It’s about a 5-hour trip from CABA, depending on where you're going.

Colonia is chill and super cute! Cobblestone streets, little cafes, and river views. You don’t need more than a day though, it’s very small. Perfect for a slow, relaxed outing. And weather mid-Nov in BA is generally warm to hot. You’ll be fine for pool time, but bring sunscreen, it can be stronger than you’d expect!

Palermo is the hip and happening spot but I like Recoleta the most. Very central, quiet and clean. Weather is really great in November Not too hot yet. I'd skip Colonia unless you are here more than 9 or 10 days. Not worth it to kill a day if you only have a week.

Beaches around Argentina aren't good in November. You could go to Brazil but again unless you have a long time not worth it. Lots to see and do in BA.
