Newcomer Power cuts this summer

Agreed. They raise prices 4x on electricity and makes you wonder. There are more problems now vs. when it was cheap.
Frustrating. I went with no power for 6 hours today. Chaotic. Just ended up going to a hotel for the day. I had to work.

But what do people do if their power goes out days and days? I don't understand. That building looks tall. How do people even survive getting to their apartments. Do they have back up generators?

Power cuts are usually brief. I am not sure why that building got stuck with no power for days. That is the Kavanaugh building. I don't know why people like that building. I think it's ugly and overlooks the slums.

Mine in Palermo just went out today. So far out for 2 hours. 🙁

You gotta climb the stairs. Also a lot of the staircases are internal with no windows so when the power is out they are pitch black, try climbing 15 floors in total darkness slowly putting one foot after another 😳 😀 😉 😄

Yes it is terrible. My power is still out. It hasn't been bad before this only going out an hour or 2.

Idiots!

No most buildings don't have generators in them. They are out of luck and have to wait or go to family or friends place.

I know it is hot out but I've been in BA before with much hotter than this and haven't experienced more than an hour or so. I've never seen this many people affected for so long.

We have had some blackouts before. Back in 1999 many were without power for over 10 days during the summer. I remember that well. You can read about it here. They need to upgrade the system now that they are charging 400% more for electricity!

This year seems to be worse than before. I have not had to deal with this more than once or twice for a short time. There has been hot weather before when everyone had their AC on so seems strange so many are having problems. I hope they upgrade their grid.
