Apartment rental prices in CABA rose by 3.4% in October

Rents published in October in CABA increased 3.4% compared to the previous month

Rents in the city of Buenos Aires continue to rise and it is characterized by being the area of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) with the highest search for studio apartments for rent. Rental prices for apartments in CABA rose by 3.4% in October , according to the latest report from Zonaprop , a figure that is below inflation, which was 3.5% in September (the latest report) .

In this way, it can be observed how new publications registered an increase of 105.3% in the last 12 months , and are advancing below inflation, which was 209% (taking the data from September), but above the adjustment of the Rental Contracts Index (ICL) which was 227.14%. In numbers, a one-room apartment of 40 m² in the city of Buenos Aires is rented on average for $440,643.

Since the repeal of the rental law passed in 2020, and its subsequent update in October 2023, on December 29 of last year when the DNU signed by Javier Milei came into force, the supply of apartments for rent has grown significantly and is close to 170% so far this year.
