Rental prices listed on major real estate platforms continue to rise . Although inflation remains low nationwide, new rental contract prices are showing an increase relative to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

According to the latest report by Zonaprop , the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city of Buenos Aires increased by 3.7% in February , which is 1.3 percentage points higher than the inflation rate revealed by Indec in February (2.4%, the latest reported).



In concrete numbers: a 40 m² studio apartment rents on average for $489,115 per month, a 50 m² one-bedroom apartment rents for $586,791 , and a 70 m² two-bedroom apartment rents for $788,847 .

Furthermore, using a one-bedroom unit as a reference, prices range from $425,064 for the cheapest neighborhood to $994,694 for the most expensive. That's a difference of almost 60 percentage points.

The cheapest neighborhood to rent​

Neighboring Villa Soldati, Mataderos, and Villa Riachuelo, Villa Lugano is distinguished by being one of the largest neighborhoods in the city , after Palermo. It is an important green space thanks to spaces like the enormous Parque de las Victorias and other plazas and squares located within its area.



This is a residential area with a large number of housing complexes , including: Barrio General de División Manuel Nicolás Savio (known as Lugano 1 and 2), Barrio Cardenal Antonio Samoré, and Barrio Comandante Luis Piedrabuena, among others.
