Like all of you, I agree people should be able to peacefully protest but I also draw the line at blocking roads. There are serious things that can happen when you do this. People can't get to work and creates problems for those workers and those companies. Kids can't get to school or get home. What about health emergencies if someone is having a medical emergency or a mother is going to give birth to her kid.

These people blocking the roads and disrupting lives aren't doing any favors for their cause.

I read about this online. It will be interesting how this plays out! Thousands of calls from people saying their unions are threatening them with not paying them payments if they don't attend the protests or fines for not going. I don't really understand this too well but sounds like corrupt politicians forcing them to go. Crazy country!

Agreed! I don't care if they want to protest. Just do it peacefully and don't block up the roads.

agreed, and i don't even accept the premise of commies forcing you to explain yourself...if you block my vehicle or my walking, you're kidnapping me (false imprisonment, whatever you want to call it). i think what the 99% of Canadian truckers did was very honorable, because they lined-up on the side of the road and stopped driving their rigs, which put economic pressure on the mega corporations to force Parliament and Trudeau to act (stop mandating shots). also, i just saw this video of a guy getting pissed at road-blocking protestors :p https://x.com/Face_de_Fact/status/1659509792145063936?s=20

i'm super close by, around Venezuela/San Jose, and i'm torn between checking it out (but i don't want to make their numbers look bigger) and just staying inside because i don't want to add any additional public burden. that being said, if there was an opportunity to volunteer at a water station or medical station for the cops/public safety folks, i'd definitely go for a few hours just to watch the silliness

Do it and take some photos for some of us out of town right now. I'm curious how it will be and I don't trust the media sources in BA.

this was the only livestream i could find at the time:

we can wait on our socialist subject-matter-experts @Che Vos and @Avocado to report back; i decided to not give the piquetera any more exposure, since there was a livestream and i knew at least one person on this forum was going. but here's a 10Dec2023 photo of people at the Inauguration since i failed you!

I went! It was amazing! So many people. Only 2 people got arrested. Very peaceful and I'm proud to be Argentine. I only saw 1 guy getting arrested. We say to Milei - AFUERA!

banging on pots in streets unrelated to the government; truly breath-taking how sheeple can be convinced by their tribal leaders that what they're doing (not working or contributing) 'makes a difference' hahahaha
