What is the address I need to put if I need to send a letter to Buenos Aires?

I need to send a birthday card to a new friend in Buenos Aires. How do I send the address? If it is Guatemala 4968 and it's in Palermo Soho what else do I need to put on the letter? Any way to find the zip code? How do I address the envelope?

For mailing a letter to BA you need to have the person's name and address format is below:

Name
Street - Guatemala 4968 Apartment # (if there is an apartment)
Zip Code - C1425BUR
CABA
Buenos Aires, Argentina

You can just enter the address on Google Maps and you should see the zip code there.

@Betsy Ross is correct. You might want to put Calle before Guatemala 4968 but it will still get there. You can also go to this website to find postal codes.

Why is the zip code so weird ? I was told by an Argentine its just the number so C1425BUR you would just write 1425. Is this right or was I told wrong ? Zip codes in every other country are just numbers no ? I've never actually sent a letter here

It will arrive with just the number but was told once in the post office it is more exact with the full code. Not sure if it matters or not.
