When does the $20,000 bill start circulating?

How common are fake bills? While I was in BA I had someone pass a fake 1,000 peso bill. I just laughed thinking it cost more money to print it probably than the value of it which was less than $1. I would guess with this higher note more fakes will go around. To me the money all feels very poor quality. Some of the small notes were all torn up.

When I was first given 20k notes my first unconscious reaction was "are these fake?" They look about as crappy as the 2k bills so whatever your opinion is of them

I am heading to town this week and hopefully get my hands on these 20k bills. I hate dealing with the 1,000 peso notes.

There are certainly more 20k bills about since the turn of the year. But still not available in the cash machines.

A friend gave me one last week and he thought he had given me 2k. They are easily confused ,s o be careful

Yes there are a lot of complaints about that! I don't understand why they did not make it a totally different color. Oh well.It turned out good for you!

Great point! I made this same mistake! You have to be very careful. My mistake was because I assumed all the 20k bills would be new and somehow one I got looked old. I thought it was a 2k note. Must be careful!
