    Black people in Argentina

I have been here off and on a few months and while I don't think that people are racist here I think that people can be a bit colder with black people. I don't know if it is me being black or just an American. My Spanish is ok but sometimes when I am speaking people will act like they can't...

How can the food here be so bad ?

I heard BA has made a lot of progress over the years but I think the steaks here are overrated. Not bad but many places it is just normal. You would think in a country with such good beef there would be better burgers. I would love to get an amazing smash burger. People always rave about the...

I'm Doing It - Becoming an Expat

Congrats @daveholman for taking the plunge. BA is a great city. I also am making the full time move soon. Keep us posted how your experience goes with applying for residency here. What category are you applying? The rentista?

Food & Drink What is up with high prices of fast food prices?

I am also shocked how packed the MCDonalds are with a supposedly bad economy. Some of the people don't look like they have much money but they are here which is strange. Prices are out of whack. Prices are more than the US.

What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

Other cities are much cheaper. Night and day. BA is the big city and always more expensive. Even within BA prices are much different depending on how touristy the area is. There was a good post on X by a poster who posted about low cost of living where he lives.

What could Milei do to convince haters like Avocado / Larry ?

I met several locals that have recently lost jobs. One maid I met to clean my Airbnb told me that she worked for many years for the same employer and after many years the employer cut her as they couldn't' afford her anymore. I am not sure how common that is. Still seems like several locals have...

Don't count Cristina Kirchner out for a comeback

I don't pretend to understand Argentina but I read some of these increases. What do you think would happen in the United States if they raised the subway or bus 800% over a year. You would have rioting and protests here too. I talked to someone that told me their electricity bills went up 4...

    Black people in Argentina

This is something as a black male that I really hate. These race baiting videos on X really are destructive for us. I believe in free speech but some of these videos are very extreme. I know there is a lot of anger for migration into Europe and some into the United States but I feel like a lot...

Real Estate News Chacarita: why it is the neighborhood chosen among the coolest in the world and how much the properties cost - La Nacion Propiedades

Very surprising. I was there a few times eating. I did not experience any crime at all my week there. I walked around very late at night and I stand out as I am black. No problems at all. People warned me about walking around with my iPhone but I just did not witness any crime at all.

    Black people in Argentina

First time poster. I am a black male from Atlanta here in my first time in Buenos Aires. I will give you my perspective. There are good points made. No one knows what we have to go through. I am ok going to places where there are very few black people. For me part of the fun of visiting new...
