When my partner and I had our interview with Migraciones, the interviewer also complained to us about being on a contract instead of a permanent position, among other things. I suppose that's one of the reasons why they work the way they work? Dunno.

One thing about Argentines is they LOVE to complain. I've been to over 600 cities in 85 countries and I don't think I hear as much complaining about things vs. here.

I think much just depends on the person you are getting and the mood they are in for that day. One set of documents that might work one day won't with the SAME person the next day. These employees for many of these agencies are terrible! People hate working in Argentina. Many of these documents and procedures are just idiotic in migraciones.

Correct. Even if they had a set of rules to follow it would depend on the mood of the employee that day. Terrible!

Seems like it's very contagious as evident by all the complaining by the expats who have been exposured to them here. 🙂

I think Argentina does that to a person. So much so that it is a national pastime. It look me a few years to adjust to the new reality of things not being very efficient here. Some people can't take it and end up going back to their home countries.
