Newcomer The optimal way to journey from Buenos Aires to La Plata

What would be the most scenic and reliable mode of transportation from the central area of Buenos Aires to La Plata on a Sunday? Options include buses (colectivos), trains, and taxis, each with its estimated travel time. While the time difference is not a major concern, we are interested in the scenic views. Considering the current inflation, what are the approximate costs for each transportation method?

To reach La Plata via the highway without taking the scenic route, consider using the express services provided by buses #129 and #195. These buses depart from either 9 de Julio Avenue or Alem Avenue. Look for the sign "por autopista" to ensure you're on the express route.

If you prefer the train, the journey begins at Constitucion Station. You can access this station using the subway, bus, or taxi/Uber services. On Sundays, trains are typically less crowded, providing a more comfortable travel experience. Don't forget to obtain a "sube" card for bus or train fare payments.

Additionally, it's worth noting that the bus or train fare will be approximately 1 USD, while opting for Uber or Cabify could cost around 15-20 USD.

Is the #195 the same as the #195H? Google recommends taking it from 195 Paseo Colon.

I noticed on Google Maps that there is a Parada del Costera a La Plata.

Just in front of your hotel is the "9 de Julio Metrobus," where you can find express bus lines. At 9 de Julio & Sarmiento (2 blocks to the left from the front of your hotel), you'll find the #129 bus stop to La Plata. Look for the "por autopista" sign for the express service.

Additionally, you can take the subway, located just one block from your hotel. Take Line "C" to Constitucion and transfer to the train.

If you prefer bus #195, you'll need to head to Alem / Paseo Colon Avenue, which is approximately a 6/7-block walk from your hotel.
