Thoughts on relocating to Mendoza from CABA

What're the general thoughts on moving to Mendoza from CABA? What are pros and cons? Any advice from those who have personal experiences would highly be appreciated. Asking for a friend ;)

    Medical Dental implant in CABA

It was paid last year (recommended by the dentist to avoid further inflation). I'm sure now it's more expensive.

    It was around 900,000 pesos.

    Medical Dental implant in CABA

It ended up taking four more visits to a different dentist (a crown specialist) to get the crown placed. The first two visits were just for taking impressions of my teeth. It could have been done in three visits, but for some reason, the dentist decided to redo the impression. At the third...

Visas How complicated is it to obtain residency in Argentina?

When my partner and I had our interview with Migraciones, the interviewer also complained to us about being on a contract instead of a permanent position, among other things. I suppose that's one of the reasons why they work the way they work? Dunno.

Visas How complicated is it to obtain residency in Argentina?

These ñoquis are so 'unfamiliar' (I use this word loosely because I don't believe so. Because there have been other Thais before me using the same certificate without any problem) that they asked me to get a new police clearance because the one I provided did not exactly say that "I have or...

Visas How complicated is it to obtain residency in Argentina?

Just get all your docs legalized/apostilled before you come to Argentina. All the translations from English to Spanish must be done in Argentina by local certified translators. I didn't legalize my police clearance because the Argentine Embassy in Thailand was stupid (that specific guy) didn't...

Inflation Is Falling, But Argentines 'Are Not Yet Better Off': Milei's Gamble Under Fire

Things were more expensive for sure pretty much everywhere but in Thailand it's still manageable, depending on where you shop. I came across this video of a couple of Americans doing their grocery shopping in Bangkok. I'm not sure where they shopped but it looks like a mid to high end...

Visas How complicated is it to obtain residency in Argentina?

I'm married to a native Argentine and we did all the procedures by ourselves so it only cost me some fees of translations, legalization of documents etc. Quite minimal. But the only thing that cost quite a lot was when I had to send my police clearance back to the Argentine embassy in my home...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

I've been to Malaysia, only Kuala Lumpur, twice for work but it was around 20 years ago. I think both Thailand and Malaysia are similar in many aspects. The main difference is that Malaysia is predominantly Muslim and Thailand is Buddhist which makes some aspects of life in Thailand feel more...

    Medical Dental implant in CABA

The overall experience hasn't been bad but I still don't quite understand the several visits before the first procedure which was the tooth extraction. I did have to see a few different dentists and none of them did anything except saying that 'yeah I do need an implant' which I already knew...

    Medical Dental implant in CABA

Update: Yesterday I went in for the abutment. The procedure didn't take long, roughly 20 minutes, but the wait was long. The system allowed me to schedule my turno at 19.40 but then the subsequent email confirmation with Swiss Medical informed me to arrive 30 min early so I planned on getting...

Trip Reports A nice selection of Argentinian wines at a supermarket in London

El Enemigo is cheaper in the UK than in Argentina :ROFLMAO: . Here at Coto it costs 25600 pesos and at a chino probably around 23000 pesos.

How can the food here be so bad ?

Yes, only barrio chino has Asian vegetables like Chinese broccoli (chelan), water spinach, snap peas, etc. I also miss supermarkets in the US especially Costco :ROFLMAO:

How can the food here be so bad ?

How about this one? Water spinach has arrived and I suppose it's still early in the season that's why it's quite expensive. Last year early in the season cost around 2,000ish pesos and later on 1,400-1,600 pesos. This year I found one bunch cost around 6,000 a few weeks ago but now down to 4,800...

How can the food here be so bad ?

I never ordered Milanesa here because a couple of times that I did, it was always dry. I never liked empanadas so much until probably this past year that I found one or two places that make them better than what I previously had but each empanada or canastita costs around 2000-3000 pesos and...

How can the food here be so bad ?

The food options here, in my opinion, are quite limited. I can't do pizza, pasta, empanada or milenesa every day and eating out has been quite expensive. That's why I cook almost every day. Beef panang curry, anyone? ;)

Wooohoooo!!!!! One PR down, one to go!

I only know the procedures I've gone through personally. But seriously, without my Argentine partner's help, I could not have done it especially when you deal with Migraciones. It's just so random.
