New Immigration Decree: What It Means for Foreigners in Argentina

I heard the health insurance starts July 1 but I am not sure. I asked my immigration attorney, Lorena and she told me that the Decree is not retroactive so it's only for new people applying. It shouldn't change people already in the system. She had this to say about the DNU and her take was...

    Citizenship rejected!

Yes unless you are from a country where your passport is extremely weak and you can't wait the 2 years maybe I could see in that case hiring a lawyer but if you already have the DNI and can travel on your own passport then why pay money to a lawyer? I do know that things in immigration are very...

Do Buenos Aires expats easily get scammed and gullible?

Smaller scams here happen every day. When I first moved to BA I found a painter through my neighbor. He did a great job on hers and she used him before over the years. He gave me a quote on mine and it was much more expensive than my neighbor. I found that out later. He asked for 50% up...

What $2 Million US Dollars gets you in Buenos Aires

The HOA fees actually seem very reasonable for such big and expensive properties. Now the only problem is come up with $2 million dollars.

Economy Google Backs Milei's Administration: A Push for Innovation and Bureaucracy Reduction

I believe what we are witnessing will change Argentina's history. It might take many years to see but we will probably all look back on the past few months and say it was the turning point for Argentina.

Politics Milei will present his book at Luna Park tomorrow....There will be surprises

I had my doubts about Milei and still have some concerns but for the first time in a long time I don't think he is the type of politician that will steal from the people. His devotion for Argentina seems genuine. His anger at politicians stealing from Argentina comes across as genuine to me and...
