The 210 plan is a lower tier plan. I am not sure what is all included in the higher plans. My cousin is married to a Porteña. They are around the same age. They might be a little older around 40 years old but my cousin is 39. Just for both of them they are paying 1,265,000 pesos for that plan.

OSDE is great. That is who I used when I was living in Buenos Aires and I had my two kids there. The 410 and 450 plan are the elite plans. Probably overkill for most people that are healthy. I did have the 410 plan and it was fantastic. Those plans are great. It even allows for cosmetic surgery every few years. Females can get breast implants all paid on insurance.
Unfortunately the health care premiums are rising again. Most that I am seeing are going up 5% to 6% a month again. I agree with those that say true inflation is greater than what the government is saying it is.

Ok that explains the difference from the lower tier and the higher tier plans. That is an unbelievable benefit on being about to get a boob job under your insurance! No wonder it's so much more. No wonder I see so many females here with boob jobs.
Yes @earlyretirement is right. I just asked why they are on such a high OSDE plan and it was for the cosmetic surgery option. She said that she can get cosmetic surgery every several years. That is why it's a higher plan.

After a few months of relatively stable medical premiums, it has jumped up again. I just got an employees bill and it had a big jump up from last month. It is now about 200% more than it was in December 2023. Inflation is being contained on some things like food but it's jumped up on many other things. Let's see if the government can really contain inflation in 2025.
The skyrocketing increases in private health insurance continue, and the coverage is no longer what it used to be. They’ve reduced the available services and even charge copays for medical care. It’s truly ridiculous that prices are doubling beyond inflation. This is why the government is once again looking to intervene, as they believe it’s an abuse.
That's why I believe things were better managed in the past, as there used to be an overseer who regulated them and prevented excessive increases. Now they raise prices deliberately whenever they want.

The free market isn’t working; I hope the government intervenes to stop these uncontrolled price increases. According to this chart, Osde, Medifé, and Swiss Medical had the smallest increases.

Mine too; it seems like an exaggeration. I also read that self-employed workers (monotributistas) will have changes in their coverage. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

It was 25% monthly rate in December. 300% a year inflation just blows me away. I don't know if I buy their official inflation numbers. Everyone I know in BA tells me rates are way worse than what the government is saying and based on what I'm reading on this forum it sounds like it is higher too. Besides Ubers and sounds like grocery store is about 4% a month inflation, utilities, restaurants, taxis, and just about everything else keeps going up at a fast pace.

Unfortunately, price increases continue every month; it’s the same story. I agree with Melibaires that the government made a poor decision by stopping its intervention in controlling prices for private health insurance. Now it’s completely out of control.
